In this opinion piece I declare the sanctity of people's beliefs irrelevant in the face of public safety, if said beliefs result in actions which cause outsiders to the belief in question to come to harm.

When people are posing a danger to those around them because of psychological problems, and refuse to get treatment because of their beliefs, people who are affected by this need to step in to preserve their own rights to safe living if the individual with the problem is actively threatening the safety of outsiders to the belief in question.

Scientology can cry about how it's being violated on the grounds of their "beliefs" but as it stands they pose a danger to people who join their organization with these conditions and everyone who is involved with those people. To heck with their "rights" as the people who could get hurt have more right to be healthy and safe and the right to have a say in the matter since it most definitely involves them.

Secondly, I agree 100% Makes sense to me.

Best of luck to you, Cans.

  • They're brown. Thanks for the support. I hopefully was understood by others as well...but not some. Clarification video coming soon.

  • If you mean DeamonCohln's vid, I tried to clarify for you.

I see you changed the title. good step. I think people saw the original title and screamed "THOUGHT POLICE!!!" without listening to what you were saying in the actual vid.

  • I can't really blame them. That was a major fail on my part.

  • Dude the government should never persecute people based on what they believe. That is criminal we the people have the right to believe whatever they want when ever we want to believe them. Now there is a big difference between acting on your crazy beliefs and actually believing them. You have the right as an American citizen to believe what you wish but you dont have the right to put your crazy idea into action. In laments term u can think you want to hurt someone but you cant hurt them.
