And Ronnie Van Zant was the voice in the background of my growing up in N.FL. We cranked it out and are guitar players (lousy) and felt the music because I guess we lived right here and loved to fish but loved rock so weren't your typical rednecks.

JMXification I appreciate the comments about BP. I yelled him down in the JAX airport embarrassing my wife and kids and he laughed and yelled back for me to meet him after the security check. When I got through he was WAITING for me at Starbucks and we talked for 5 min. A real genuine and humble Southern gentleman. THE Billy Powell! Unreal how someone could call him an a-hole. That's worse than screaming that RVZ was 6'2". LOL!! I think that guy was doing that to drive people crazy.

@treblejunkie I met Billy Powell on several occasions and he was cool as could be. Down to earth not unlike just a neighbor. In fact once I was in line at blockbuster right behind him and said hey. You wouldve thought we were old friends the way he treated me. So whoever said hes an asshole is absolutely wrong.

@bstock10 : Why would you say Billy Powell was an asshole? Did you know him, or did you read this some place? I'm just curious. What's with all these critics? If someone called you an asshole, I would NOT just assume that, I'd find out for myself and then decide what I THINK you are. What is it with people?

Who gives a flying fuck what Ronnie's height was ? I really feel sorry for some of you poor bastards who have nothing better to do with your lives other than argue with people on a comment section on youtube. Get a life already for Christ's sake.
