  • How do i increase the volume for the top range power speakers using the dbx PA?

  • @jakros100 You need to increase your dB by at least 10 to get 1 more watt of actually power...

  • @flashanddancedj Thanks alot bro.....Will try it tomorrow, if I do it now I might wake up the whole house lmao....I will let u know how it goes.....I still have to buy a RTA mic to do the EQ and then Iam done.....It already sounds amazing with the driverack : )....cant wait....Thank u again!Another thing.....Where should the attack and decay time be set?

  • @F15SPEED4EVER No troubles man!!!! I am not sure if you have the software for a computer or not, I would get that 1st then setup the following... CH1 Left High, Ch 2 Right High, Ch 3 Mono Sub. Then In config make sure that each Ch is set with the right settings of the 725s and the same with the 728S. Also make sure you set your Comp on/ Over Easy either 2 or 3/ Threshold 10/ Ratio 2:1/ Gain o dB - Limiter On/ Over Easy on/ 3 or 4/ Threshold between -10 and 10.... Try that and let me know...

  • @Burgessaudio I agree with you cause if I feel like the driverack did too much damage I will break out SMAART myself.... I do sound for bands as well and believe it or not I have gotten compliments on my current system which is 2 X Mackie SRM450's and 2 X Peavey PV118's ...

  • @flashanddancedj the built in RTA function does indeed get rid of feedback, but the cuts are just too deep for vocals and other mid range instruments to project properly. The ultimate balance in live sound is getting all instruments in their place in the mix while reducing feedback. I tune rooms using ears, feel, and RTA mics using the computer program SMAART for a living man.

Don't get me wrong, speaker/amp presets are the right thing to do but the other presets should be manually manipulated.

  • @flashanddancedj Thanks alot man ur a savior....Sorry for putting u all that trouble.....For speakers I have just one of each lol....1 Top=JBL SRX725 1 Sub=JBL SRX728S......They r both powered by 2 QSC PLX2 3602 amps.....at 4 ohms they put out 3600 watts in bridge-mono....If u need more info let me know.....and thank u so much....Ur the first person to reply and willing to help me lol....Thanks for your time!!

  • @Burgessaudio Presets are not silly... I would love to see you walk into the rooms I play (Other than a handfull) I am always making changings including using the RTA that is Built in to get Rid of Feedback and dead spots....

  • @F15SPEED4EVER In the next few days I will make one for you... I need a few more details Such as Power Amp Brands and Models with power ratings, Mid/Hi Speakers Brand and Models, Sub or Low Speakers Brand and models... Once I have that I can go into depth for your specific setup... I will do a generic for how mine is setup cause I have made a few changes myself....
