response to Beng6: Oh! and judging by the amount of money spent by the canadian government during the 1995 referendum and the fact that it temporary lowered the immigration reglementation(imigrants are in large majority against the independance), I think it would be quite stupid to pretend that Canada don't have interest at keeping Quebec. I notice a lot of anti-American comments on here . Not being Canadian or American I can give an unbiased opinion of both countrys . First of all Canadians seem to get off on insulting the USA whereas the Americans do not even think of Canada . Americans are friendly and polite while Canadians are rude and cold .Americans are willing to fight for their beliefs while Canadians would not fight for anything . In short the USA would be a far better country to live in than a miserable cold Canada .
