@Brutuonius They were allowed to keep their religion and practice it for a tribute. What's amazing is that here in the US we have an entire political party(Republicans) that doesn't even want to be as tolerant as 10th century Moorish rulers in Spain. They wish they could make this a one religion nation with that religion's rules and laws only, and nobody else can practice their religions. Think about that.
