The Big Broadcast of 1936 (1935) is a Paramount Pictures production, directed by Norman Taurog, and is the second in the series of Big Broadcast movies. The musical comedy stars Bing Crosby, George Burns, Gracie Allen, Ethel Merman, The Nicholas Brothers, Bill Robinson, Lyda Roberti, Wendy Barrie, Mary Boland, Charles Ruggles, Akim Tamiroff, and even popular Argentine tango singer Carlos Gardel plus an early appearance by Dorothy Dandridge (as one of the Dandridge Sisters). Glenn Miller appears as part of the Ray Noble Orchestra.

  • Awesome! Thank you for posting this, also for the photo of Reichman and his orchestra. I'm noticing that his piano style had a lot of two-hand octaves playing, very distinctive.

  • Its a good film but not as good as the 1932 film. The Nicholas Brothers steal the show.
