HAPPY NEW YEAR

MY REVIEW - Sonic the Hedgehog: Genesis of the Azure Wind, a mod of Halo: Combat Evolved on the PC based on Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. It's pretty good, nice graphics (not like that matters) big level(s) and a great Sonic model. It has its issues though. First stiff movement and controls. If you've played Halo PC before you may know you don't have any control in the air and Master Chief is SLOW. Halo was not made for Sonic-style gameplay, neither does UT2004 but Ashura Dark Reign did it. That's because ADR changes the game's engine. Sonic: Genesis(otAW) does not which brings me to my second point. I know this is an early demo but it relies too much on the original Halo some of the interface is the same and doesnt match the game and because of that there are sound ghitches and because of the fast speed and unchanged engine if you play the game on a low power PC sonic jerks around while you run (I just got my computer upgraded so this doesnt happen to me). My third point is the level design. There is aboslutle no flow and it's even because of the fact that there's 1 level its because the game uses the teleporters to get to every tiny part of the level so If your running to fast you fly off the stage and die. So as a game 3/5 as a demo 4.5/5

A horrible computer in general, but can it run this?

HALO CE runs on default settings 60FPS (full speed)

  • @sonickun95 if halo ce runs fine then this should

  • Strange. I got a new computer recently, and when I move, Sonic's model has an after-image-like thing. I assume that's the jerking. Do I have certain settings active that need to be turned off? My old computer didn't do that, actually.

    x)

  • @MizfitZer0 Crap that was canceled.

  • Da fuck is this?...

  • @SonicKillMario I figured out the problem. The problem is the Vsync needs to be set to 30fps. Too many frames can cause Sonic to develop after-images. i notice it happens to the Master Chief models in netgames as well.
