launchpad and nocturn mini mix

just having a play around on my brand new launchpad and nocturn from novation, not meant as a serious mix but hey if you like it, comment rate and share please ;)

how do you film with your camera and record with computer simultaniously? or did you record the audio with your camera mic? also, did you made the samples urself? if not, where did you get em from?^^ sry for the many questions, but i really wanna know! xD

@IOneNightJamI i lined up the audio from my PC with the video from my camera, it's not ideal but i'm on a budget xD the drum beat and George w bush clips are premade samples i found on the net, all the melody bass and everything else is midi played by myself =]

how have you set those up in ableton? when i use launchpad and nocturn in abelton the nocturn messes with launchpad, causing its leds to flash and then it stops working. this ever happened to you?

@MrNedRush yess I encountered that problem initially, all i do is set the nocturn up backwards, by which i mean working from CC 127 to CC 0, to begin with, the nocturn will send out MIDI information from naught upwards and this does indeed conflict with the launchpad, my fix for that currently is making the nocturn send out CC 127 and going down rather than up as i never use up all that many parameters, hope this helps

Love it - the samples work really well!

Would you recommend the Nocturn & Launchpad combination? Does it work well, or is it fiddly to do live mixing using them?

I would totally recommend the launchpad nocturn combo, havent encountered a single problem myself, find it very easy and fast to get things done :)

@minimotoman2 Yeah apparently it's CC0 and CC16 that cause the problems, so as long as you avoid those when setting up the Nocturn then there's no problems :)

@MrNedRush If you´ve got these two devices, you can get Automap Pro for free from the Novation website. With Automap Pro you can handle more device at the same time. For eample two nocturns and one launchpad.
