Street Parade Zurich, 14 August 2010, rain. Experience the street parade for the first time in stereo 3D (real 3D not converted). Diving into the crowd.

On 3D-BluRay it looks fantastic!

These images show the potential for large and fascinating documentary reactions with people in 3D. Exclusively hand-held camera. Test shooting with a 3-D Full-HD Handycam. Documentary implementation in 3D in the thick of the people. Not to realize with a 3D camera rig. Parallel recordings in the ortho-stereo. Tim Dashwood post production tool. Apple Final Cut, without camera stabilization.

The future is definitely in 3D! Without glasses, of course.

  • ...Now the Post was made in 1,5 day. If you look directly from BluRay on a panasonic 3D screen 65inch (shutter), all this things are not that important. You can't see that the white balance is not 100% correct. More problem is the missing Sync for fast movements. But try to shoot that with a 3D Rig? Over the weekend we could test the new 21USD Panasonic 3D-Cam. Also some adjustments between the two lens was necessary, but all the problem we had with our own construction are gone. We do it again!

  • Yes, this was a test-shooting with a small, but NOT perfect 3D-Handycam 2x1920x1080. And of course the quality over YouTube is nothing compare to a 3D BluRay that we made too - side by side at the moment, still not Full-HD. The picture quality makes the hold thing for 3D course. The two cameras are not exactly adjust and not in white balance. In the crowd we had also some problem to adjust (fast) booth separate cameras correctly. 3-4 shots was not in same frame and we correct later. continue...

  • it's cool -just wear the old green/red glasses and you'll see 3d. looks great and it's for free (this glasses cost one dollar, and it's ok for this "price". all other 3D products are good in cinema (kino) and untill it's not perfect for the pc, is the green/red still the best and "for free" solution.

  • cool 3d and brill`?

  • What do you mean by on 3D Blu-Ray is looks fantastic ? In here you only uploaded a 1280x720 video, so each image is even half that, so it's not realy that good quality. I like the video, don't get me wrong, but lots of vertical missalignments and white balance differences between your two cams. Keep on practicing though.
