  • Well, dear me ehemm grruuhuuh. That would be Southern B.C., I came from Northern B.C. & the coldest I saw was -62 F. & by July we usually had 1st frost. The reason your plants are growing slow is they don't have direct southern sun exposure. As a rule plants that start slow & poor do poor. Again if you can get your plants in direct sun, maybe on a table in front room or on window sills. I often use 2 lb becel containers & put lid under with holes poked down through bottom. Seeded April.15!

  • I dont have any windows facing south but, I do have lights above the seedlings. I live in calgary and the weather, dirt, and light we have here is really hard to grow anything. Its good for the cold vegetables like lettus but when my stawberries come in they will have to go straight in to the green house. I hope we dont flood this year. if my plants are poor they will just have to do. as the weather here will probley kill them anyway. thanks for your comment :)

  • wow your tomatoes where started so early i thought perhapes they may get to craYz befor you got to plant them but the rate their growing seems to be extra slow ... as a comparison i have a tomato plant i started(indoors) after yours and its allready got its true leaves and ive repotted it once. yours still just have the two starting leafs its amazing.

cant wait to see how you fit them all in your back yard :D and the awesome fruit theyll bear! thanks for sharing!

  • every thing is growing slow here. I think its the weather. It took my herbs in the aero garden a month before I even saw the seedlings poke up. Its usually suppose to take maybe two weeks. On really cold days I have to put a heater in that room. our weather condiontions here in canada really suck unless you live in B.C canada, its more milder there.

  • Great set up...I'm gonna do similar next year but on the cheap side with the sun as light lol

  • Canada thats tough growing conditions hydro is a good bet youll be able to do way more inside.good luck

  • Looking forward to more updates. Happy Growing! =D

  • No lol, you live in Southern Alberta! You can grow Gala apples if behind some shelter. Great climate but severe spring wind. You can nurse some of these through with the lights. A big bail of peat moss or two & several cattle manure from tire store will help outside. Dig these in with shovel. Gardening is like school Crewlla, one can always go back. I have gardened all my life, have you noted my hair. You started seed way too early a common mistake. You can restart easy in same pots.

  • Your tomato army is hysterically funny! They're gonna revolt and take over your home. I'll see you on the news when the pumpin grows around your angle and takes you hostage. LOL

You grew garlic? OMG! The greens from the garlic are so aromatic and I dice them into my cooking. :)

I do hope your plants can stay healthy until spring planting. They look great so far. congrats!
