Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is being used in the treatment of Cerebral Palsy.

It's described as the use of oxygen at a higher than atmospheric pressure. This oxygen is said to stimulate the brain and help improve cognitive and social function in children with chronic brain injury.

Patients undergoing this type of therapy get into an enclosed chamber for numerous sessions.
Because clinics and hospital fees can run upwards of $100-$500 a session, many families are opting for at-home soft chambers.

The Vitaris 320 model retails for appx $20,000 and allows patients unlimited access to this type of therapy.

Occupational Therapist, Mike Price, shows us this HBOT Chamber, how it works, and who it benefits.

  • This doesn't really explain the science behind it, more markets the product, down to the corny testimonials

  • @SnowWalkerPrime obviously you dont know jack shit about them. If they are soft units they dont produce 100% oxygen never good anyhow so you are wrong there now as for one exploding there has only been 1 fatality in 70 years umm how many people die on operating tables much more at your local hospital i would definitely take my chances in a soft chamber at 40% oxygen thats more than enough but you just might have to do more treatments in severe cases with soft chambers.

  • @SnowWalkerPrime it operates at 40% O2 - Pure O2 wouldn't be safe any where. You can even take your laptop in with you and one of my collegues takes his cat in with him.

There is no risk of an explosion these days and personally I would prefer a chamber at home, where I can relax instead of visiting an expensive and disease ridden hospital. This way all my friends and family can benefit from oxygen.

  • @XxTheWeekendWarsxX who is evan lewis is he a douche

  • @lokalllize Yes, a little known fact these glorified car sales men fail to mention. When dealing with enriched O2 there is a increased risk of explosion and other complications when breathing pure O2. If you are in a hospital setting and under going treatment you are constantly monitored by trained personal. Not so in a home setting.

  • can you die in one

  • Cant wait to buy this expensive yet life altering machine.. Go red blood cells!! lol

  • i want one but these shits running 16k lol

  • I am in agreement with the last two posts in regards to poor scientific statements. Hyperbaric doesn't shrink oxygen molecules, rather it increases the partial pressure of a gas. This increase in the partial pressure results in a greater concentration gradient over normobaric conditions... resulting in increased uptake of oxygen via the blood stream and tissues. The higher the pressure and the higher the oxygen concentration, the greater the uptake.
