@syazwankhan Honestly, I do believe it's haram because it puts in us Unnecessary feelings and emotions. Regardless if the lyrics may seem to be "non-sinful". I do agree with you that scholars say it's not haram based on lyrics, but there are also scholars who says it's haram, regardless of lyrics. Either way, Allah does know best, and I wish you the best as well.

Allah almighty is the creator all of the beautifull thing in this whole world... music is art.. paint is art.. draw is art.. sing a song is art.. all art is haram if they guide u to the wrong way.. music haram if when u hear it u wanna punch somebody or kill somebody or make another sin too Allah... but if music make u cry.. make u realize about ur sin.. remebering u too Allah..make ur faith grew stronger every time.. that is halal bro.. just learn hadits about it ok

I like this very much. Indeed Islam tells us to choose the middle way. Being obsessed with something or thinking about it a lot, is like ecstasy or in other words intoxication. Anything that takes us away from God, His remembrance or from having to do any good in your life is bad for you. I am very glad that he left his past for the better future. Alhamdolillah!
