Wow. I can't believe how GM dyed the silk so easily. I like how you used sticky tape to gather the silk too. Thanks Kathryn!

The silk takes the Glimmer Mist beautifully! I love how the two look together as the silk has a natural sheen of its own that is lovely when paired with the Glimmer Mist. Thanks for watching!

beautiful flowers and using your wedding dress great idea too altho i think my daughters would get made at me for that one as they like my wedding dress, but maybe i could use my moms wedding dress , as her was already turned in to curtians that i can cut up

Well, I am not using actual pieces of the dress. I had the dress made & I bought all the material so the designer gave me what was left over when she was finished. Although the designer also made me a silk slip to go underneath the dress that might become flowers down the road ... ;)

I wonder if this would work if you were to baste stitch it?

I am sure that would work just fine to gather the material for the flower instead of the sticky strip. If you wanted to adhere it to a chipboard center, you would still need some type of strong adhesive, but you might be able to skip the chipboard entirely depending on how the gathering went. If you pulled it really tight, you might even be able to get a rosebud look.
