Geo Metro XFi: See & Hear it Run

It looks like any ordinary Geo Metro 3-cylinder engine, but, lo and behold, it is different. This engine was designed specifically for high fuel economy in mind. In this video, I wanted you to see how well it starts up (even though the battery is old and will likely need to be replaced soon) and purrs like a little kitten.

Notice also, that no problem indicator are lit on the dash, indicating to me that everything is about as normal as one can expect for a car approaching 18 years old!

It's hard to believe by looking at the car and the engine, but yes, the car has exceeded 100k.

@Prizm2356 Close but not cigar. The regular Metro had 3 rings. two compression, one oil Whereas the XFi had only 2

Great cars.. I had a 92 regular 3cyl model. Used it as a small package courior vehicle I bought it with 75K on it.. and put 100,000 on it in ONE year... never failed me once. Got great mileage, and then sold it for $200...really wish I had not. But I had no use for it at the time. :(

The XFi only had one piston ring where as the normal three cylinder had two piston rings
