It was related by al-Hakim, at-Tabarani and others. It was also related by at-Tirmidhi with the wording, "I am the House of Wisdom, and Ali is its Door."

There is a hadith from the second Caliph, Umar Ibn Khattab, which has been reported by Hakim in Mustadrak, page 125, by Sulayman Balkhi in Yanabiu'l-Mawadda chapter 56, page 210, and by others, like Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal, Khatib Khawarizmi, Ibn Hajar, Suyuti, and Ibn Athir Jazri. The prophet(p) said even the angles are shy from uthman(R). 3. the prophet(p) when he thought Uthman(R) was dead used his own blessed hand and said this is the hand of Uthman(R) and out it in the bayiah Uthman(R) is greater then ALi(R) and the greatest of ALL is Abubakr(R)

Ali(R) was actually adopted by the prophet so him accepting ISLAM is actually expected. But Abubakr(R) accepting it is extraordinary
