Summer Nights - SSN 1 - Episode 2 - "Strong Enough To Break"

Episode one takes us from point A to point B. From the cutting room floor, to the trusty desktop, the cast and crew of Summer Nights begin assembling their team. A plan was in place, but it was by no means solid. They had some direction, but the team primarily began their attempt to film a music video, with a large amount of pure heart and emotion.

Scene 1 (The Art Of Breathing)
Johnee Rae Whalen sings about expressing oneself through art. The cast and crew assemble in a central location to discuss the opportunity of filming a music video. Some people were locked in, others confused, and some were just downright shocked. Something was driving them, something was motivating them. This was their beginning.

Scene 2 (Photography Through Vision)
Promotion process was set into motion. The cast and crew assemble a team of makeup artists, and dancers to build the look and feel of "Summer Nights". This experience alone, was new to the dancers, as well as most of the cast. Their vision was created with the help of many creative minds.

Scene 3 (Strong Enough To Break)
Despite all the distractions, the dancers had a job to do. The job consisted of 7 dancers learning choreography in a 12 days. They received movements from a child hood friend, and the rest was up to them. With no mentor to oversee the process, they joined forces in hope of the finished product.

Scene 4 (Last Minute Tasks)
With the shooting dates looming in the distance, the team had one very important task to complete. The recording of the song. Summer Nights was in recording stages. Recordings stages consisted of recording vocals in a garage, with last minute mastering the night before shooting. The odds were stacked against them, however their determination shows no crack in the armour...
