My grandma is a big friend of her and today they met in the little city where they were born to celebrate Easter. Maria Chiara is still a beautiful woman and she is healthy but now she doesn't sing anymore. I think now she teaches. (:

I'm not sure what she is doing now or whether or not she is still living, but during my operatic days, I worked with her and Maestro Maurizio Arena while I was in Italy and she was retired and did several masterclasses. This was roughly 12 years ago, and she was still in wonderful voice and as beautiful as ever.

whatever happened to her, she did not have
a great career, she sounds fine to me.
