The Love Language, after a bunch of stage chatter, play their haunting "This Blood Is Our Own" from the Merge release, Libraries.

This night closed out a 4-night "residency" at Slim's Downtown Distillery. It was kind of a mix of songs from both their self-titled debut and the more recent Libraries. They apparently played the Velvet Underground's album White Light/White Heat in it's entirety, the night before!

They finished with an encore including "Pedals", which I'd not heard played live, and a rollicking version of "Louie Louie" featuring Brian from Lonnie Walker singing. Bodies were flying.
