MIAMI - Coast Guard Auxiliary members Jim Shea and Bruce Farkas, from Flotilla 6-9, conduct a vessel safety check (VSC) on a local mariner at Haulover Boat Ramp in Miami. The Coast Guard Auxiliary is a volunteer uniformed component of the United States Coast Guard and works with the rest of the Coast Guard in all of its missions with the exception of military and law enforcement missions.
