  • The libertarians have always been the true conservatives . Freedom is the answer and I'd LOVE to see the libertarian movement rise to power. I wish it could be done in the republican party but they just don't seem to get it. They pay lip service to the libertarian principles but don't seem to put forward any intitiatives to end the federal reserve or stop spending and the wars or protect the borders or promote energy independence.

  • @manofreedom I'd love to see no one rise to power.

  • Ron Paul for President!

    Gary Johnson for Vice-President!

  • @manofreedom don't worry the tea party will force the next republican president to downsize the govt....a libertarian future is indeed in our grasp

  • @TheJasonDR Agreed...but where are these values best served? At the local and state level or in a large centralized top heavy beaurocracy in Washington? To me the R's have become just a "big govt" as the socialists...oops, I mean the Ds. The founders did want a limited federal govt. Individual liberties based on Godly moral Christian principles is the only way for our republic to survive. Maybe we agree after all.

  • @manofreedom conservative does not mean small govt...it means social values ..like religious value's ...

  • @TheJasonDR I'm not following your logic....I always considered the founders as conservatives as they wanted a very limited or "conservative" federal govt. that was for the individual civil "liberties" of the people. The Neocon war hawks are for militarism and corporatism and all the trillions in tax payer $ going to the "too big to fail" crowd as well as trampling the constituion with the TSA and a police state.....Sorry, but the Republican party is NOT conservative We disagree

  • @manofreedom Libertarians are liberal Republicans Not conservatives

  • Jimmy McMillian is TOO. DAMN. FUNNY.

  • How this will pan out seems pretty standard and tangible: With Huckabee out of the race, this gives Paul-Johnson a better chance in the Republican caucus. Despite this, I'd still hold Romney the likely nominee. At that point, it's almost a given Paul-Johnson will endorse the Libertarian nominee instead. Leaning towards Obama as the Democratic nominee, to which % points will be much tighter than last elections in an Obama-Romney 2012 clash. But we'll see what twists and turns occur.
