Scripture gives us the great commission. God's ways are not are ways. Perhaps my evangelism is part of the Lord's plan in revealing himself to someone. This false perception that election somehow lets the believer off the hook in sharing the gospel couldn't be further from the truth. I am incredibly humbled to know that God chose me when I turned my back on him, when I let ego and arrogance blind me to the truth. I want that for everyone I encounter.

Ironically I love this song, but I'm not really feelin' the whole "election/predestination" theology. If only some were chosen by God then what is the point of going out and preachin' the Gospel?
