"Not for Me a Youngman's Death" by Roger McGough (poetry reading)

See, also by Roger McGough, "Let me Die a Youngman's Death", earlier thoughts on the manner of his passing, now revised presumably because of awareness of mortality becomes more acute with age.

He was, and I suppose still is, one of the "Liverpool poets" in The Mersey Sound (1967). Roger presents "Poetry Please" on Radio 4.

PAAF = Pissed As A Fart (drunk)
LWS = Low Wallet Syndrome (No insurance, no money)
OPD = Obnoxious Personality Disorder
SYB = Save Your Breath
TTFO = Told To Fuck Off
FAS = Fat And Stupid
KUTA = Kick Up The Ass
TINA = There Is No Alternative
BVA = Breathing Valuable Air (useless)
SKE = Snaps Knicker Elastic (handsome doctor) - and also -
VWK = Voice Wets Knickers
FUBR = Fucked Up Beyond Repair
SEP = Someone Else's Problem
GOMER = Get Out of My Emergency Room
TOBASH =Take Out Back And SHoot
ROOG = Ran Out Of Gas (too old)

CTD = Circling The Drain (Close To Death)
UNDY = Unfortunately Not Dead Yet
