In the providence of God, Bryn Marsden Ransdell, daughter of Scott and Dru Ransdell, died on Oct 11, 2008 of injuries from an automobile accident. Born July 24, 1992 in Woodland, Bryn resided with her family in the Dixon-Woodland area.
Bryn's mother remembers fifth grade as a turning point in her daughters life, when Bryn committed her life to Christ and was baptized. In the years that followed, she demonstrated her love for God by walking in joyful obedience to him and to her parents. Bryn faced difficulties with honesty and resilience, responding willingly when challenged by her parents to trust in Gods word.
An active member of Grace High, the high school youth group at Grace Valley Christian Center, Bryn applied her natural friendliness and compassion to reach out to others with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Through the grief of their loss, Bryn's family is comforted by knowing that Bryn died at peace with God, with them, and with others. They recount events and conversations in the weeks preceding her death that indicated Bryn's contentment in Christ and an unusual blossoming of deep-seated joy. Bryn's mother describes those weeks as glorious. She remembers observations made during that time by Bryn's independent studies teacher and her youth group leader that Bryn's countenance had lately been glowing.
For Bryn's parents, this was not only a poignant reminder of Bryn's childhood nickname, Little Twinkle Star, but also a gift from God to assure them that he was preparing her for heaven.
Touching piece Lowell.
