This video is a update, after Adobe release Flash 10.1 for Mac.
HTML5 player uses less than 20% CPU power. Flash plugin use over 30% CPU power. Although new Flash 10.1 uses less CPU power than before, but it's still not good as HTML5.
HTML5 uses less CPU power.
Test machine : MacBook Pro, 2.53Ghz, 4GB RAM, Safari 5
That's not entirely Flash's fault. Safari has a stupendously bad plug-in architecture. Try the same thing in any other browser.

@SuperiorBeen This is correct, the hardware APIs weren't available in your player version and so the test isn't comparable.
The latest published version of Flash Player 10.1 for Mac does have some acceleration, Although Apple have restricted the situations where it can be used, and precisely which graphics drivers can support it.

how long is it going to take for websites to adapt html? 5 years? common Mr. Jobs.

Its not ever a fair fight. Jobs didnt allowed Adobe to access hardware acceleration API. Flash is hardware accelerated on Windows and linux(partially). Thank Steve Jobs for this.
BTW: I tried a HTML5 HD video and is laggy as hell. Never had any problems with flash playing HD videos though.
