  • Metallica brought me here

  • Thanks for putting these clips up. Couldn't care less about Metallica, but this novel had an impact on me, and I've been very curious of how it could possibly translate to the screen. This helps.

@harverydents - While I definitely share your ire for trash television shows, the 2008 "film" is pretty removed from mainstream Hollywood. I never even heard of it until today, nor had I heard of the production co. or the director. It may be pretty awful, but it's also indie & low-budget.

  • Albeit wretched, war is truly a dominating factor in the human condition.

  • @dipinprint Fuck learn how to spell

  • creepiest movie ever...masterpiece movie...cant believe the hollywood douchebags had the GALL to remake this with that DOUCHEBAG kid from the OC!

  • a book written in 1939 by dalton trumbo. the title "johnny get your gun" is satire of a popular world war I song, "over there". the first line in the song is "johnny get your gun, get your gun, get your gun." this is a 1971 adaptation of it, after the 1939 book won awards, mgm was going to do a movie but backed out because of it's ant-war message.

dalton was later blacklisted in 1947 as part of the "hollywood 10". congress decided left wing entertainment was to dangerous for america.

  • If I ever get my legs, arms, ears, eyes and mouth blown off, I give everyone permission to kill me, you can make it as gruesome as you want, but please if that ever happens to me just kill me!

  • 'Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori', it is sweet and proper to die for the fatherland...

  • i can feel like yearning for that times !when i watched this for the first time !! it was so reaaal !! one of my favourites ......
