One of the few 45's I own. LOL!

WARNING! : This cut is not for the faint of heart and ear. Indiana Jones ain't got jack on the boulder rolling out of this one.! ;)

I purposely overmodulated this cut a bit to fit the feel of it - and a crappy conical stylus helped as well. LOL!!!

If you've ever felt like flying into a million pieces, then you've already heard this cut - INSANE stuff!!!!!

Just the thing for an ol' run-of-the-mill Wednesday..... :)

Baritone man Clarence Eugene Wright should've gotten more room to spread out, IMO.

  • Red was a genius--what a sound---it is incredible and nobody can do it like Red....NOBODY!!! Jacquet , I love but for RnB Red is the man. I saw him live and man, he was the killer diller of all time!

  • Red was the real deal. Incredible energy and powerful sound Does the Lester Young thing with drive. Thanks.

  • @tunepeddler

He uses middle C / low C with octave around 2:16. I think he uses at 0:46 middle C with a combination of G, F and E fingers (alternating), it sounds to clean for the low C with octave thing.

  • indeed, Red is the man!!!

  • Great bari solo too! I have yet to hear anyone today that knows how to do Red's rhythmic single note technique beginning at :46 Any ideas? I don't think he's alternating with the low C with the octave key in and the middle C.

  • WAAAAHHH....YESSSSSS!!!!! ..that is IT!!!
