I'm pretty sure this song isn't about being/becoming a whore... Joan Jett and the Blackhearts were one of the first girl rock bands. This was really a disgrace back then. It was equal to how most people feel about a female president. So those of you saying "I'm gonna be a proud whore because of this song!" are REALLY misenterpreting it. Shows how much you know/care about this amazing piece of history. Though it's from the past, it's still the future! Joan Jett is forever in my heart!<3

Joan Jett will ALWAYS be in my heart. I aspire to be like her. Avril Lavigne has a great voice, but there is NO WAY her cover is better than Joan's original. I don't even see how you can compare the two. Please, if you say Avril's is better than Joan's than just leave this page. Thanks.
