Okay, new description since everyone is freaking out! He was not "stuck". Dachshunds are burrowing breeds. They routinely get into things. I came out of the shower to find him in my sweatshirt. I had a camera nearby, so I decided to get it on film.

1) He does this all the time, if you let him. He can back right out of the sweatshirt. We don't leave our clothes on the floor when we're not around, just in case he ever did get honestly stuck.

2) The whining is a dachshund trait. It's for attention, not because he's in distress. If he was distressed, it'd be a whole different set of noises. He actually was sleeping in there, and only started whining when I tried to get him to play with me. It was EXCITEMENT and a want for attention NOT because he was afraid.

3) Relax. Its a little over a minute. When I stopped filming, he backed out of the sweatshirt, and tore off running like a crazy dog. Another dachshund trait. Ask anyone you know with a dachshund, and they'll tell you about the crazy laps these dogs run when they get excited.

So chill out. I've had him for six years, I used to be a veterinary assistant. I'm not a moron. He's fine.

  • I have a dachshund and they whine a lot. Almost all the time, even if they aren't "truly upset." And they will burrow into EVERYTHING. I highly doubt that she put the dog there because I have come out of the shower and found mine burrowed into my pillow case. They aren't whining because they're hurt/scared, they're whining because they just can't see you (or you aren't paying them enough attention). This is typical behavior (and he wasn't seriously whining until the end of the video).

  • @lovelydeadbunnies Thank you! He rarely barks, but he does whine quite regularly for attention. I'm fairly confident all the negative comments are from non-dachshund owners. He was quite capable of backing out of the shirt if he wanted, and its not like I leave death traps for my dog around my house! I was just showering :)

  • @Girlgamer247 I was sick with bronchitis, so I took a shower to loosen my chest up. He does this all the time with blankets. Dachshunds are burrowing breeds. He could have backed out, and routinely does go in a blanket/shirt and back right out. Its a game to him. This is the first time I had a camera nearby. We don't leave our clothes on the floor unless we know he wants to play in them, and in that case only if we're there to help if he does truly get stuck.

  • Oh my fuck, I'm going to hell.. I LOL'ed at this.. XD

  • omg poor dog thats just stupid

  • f'd up

  • He started whining at 20 seconds so for you to say you let him out as soon as you realized he was truly stuck and getting upset. Any person with common sense can see that he is stuck.
