  • @chick3001 Totally agree!!!

  • @chick3001 I wouldn't say SNSD is useless; I think they're quite talented, but they don't show their talent anymore like their debut days.:( And I agree, ZLY has like no songs and doesn't get to show off her pretty voice at all. I haven't heard from her in forever...

  • @zhangliyin4ever totally agree with you. I dont know how SM can find this glory era again!! DBSK is 2, SJ is 9, CSJH is 4, Liyin in hiatus.... Those useless artists, such as SNSD are promoted always. So unfair!!!!

  • I love ZhangLiYin and her voice....The best time of SM was 2006 with DBSK/TVXQ=5, SUJU=13, TRAX, BOA, CSJH=4, KANGTA & ZHANG LI YIN...but NOW....mmm they have many plastic artists...the only ones who are saved are SHINEE...for NOW I'm JYJ Fan and Chocolyn (Fan of ZhangLiYin)...I have the hope that she leaves SM...ah!! I have hope to see her sing with Junsu or JaeJoong...and I have hope that she will become a great artist known throughout asia and the world....

So what if some members don't have enough talent to succeed by themselves? If they're in a group is that bad? They're not talentless.

Do you think America is superior just because solo artists prevail in the music industry? Why don't we pit the POP artists of America with those of Korea before you start declaring superiority.

If you need to make such an outlandish comparison to feel good about America, please shut up because you just look like a stereotypical, racist American.

  • @DragonStarlight

I stress again, in Korea you get to see the personality of each person in the group. Unlike America, there are many shows that expose the character of each member to the viewers. In fact, the success of many groups come from their personality on these shows, not just the superficial them performing on stage.

  • @KCalliope

I'm American. I live in America, I am well aware of American culture. You're not speaking to someone who's ignorant.

If what you're saying is your own opinion, please stop, because you do not reflect the Americans as a whole; because people are very capable of liking a group. There are millions out there who like bands, no? Last time I checked that was a group. And many people enjoy watching bands.

  • @KCalliope

Don't be naive, you don't have to be a solo artist to show talent and individualism. In America, being independent is a huge thing. It's not because "Oh, we just like solo artists better". It's because the American character typically does not work well in a musical group where it's a free-for-all. Like I said before, the groups in American typically focus on one person, in Korea, there is typically equal coverage of each member. No one is intentionally left behind.

  • @KCalliope

You totally ignore the fact that there are plenty of Korean solo artists that do not need a group to succeed. And, encase you haven't noticed, there are plenty of Korean idols FROM groups, who have a very successful solo career. Which basically what the groups in America did. The only difference? Many of the Korean groups have actually stayed together.

I reiterate. Groups are not the only thing that is popular in Korea. There are PLENTY of solo artists.
