5:30am. Amber had brought over chinese food and we were both enjoying my high speed internet as well as eachother's company, when suddenly the urge to go to the beach and watch the sun rise was upon us. I of course grabbed the camera, which is always good for random adventures, and Amber grabbed some hoops.
7:30am It was below freezing. We're both layered in clothes. Pajamas, toe socks, sweatshirts.
This was the product of that day.

Music: 32 Flavors, by Ani Difranco.

p.s. Sand is NOT easy to hoop on.

  • feel so good♥

  • I could almost "feel" the crisp air and the heat of the sun off the water. And then I looked out my window. Its hard to believe the sun ever shines in this place and the thick snow will give way to the light again. Thank you for capturing the spirit of the sunrise!

  • This kind of catches the spirit of Mommy perfectly. Love.

  • Great moves and great song.

I just got back from the outer banks, of NC we took my hang drum out on the beach, built a bon fire, watched shooting stars. We taped glowsticks to our hoops and hooped in the sand while a friend played my hang. It was one of the best moments, filled with peace and beauty. I wish we had brought the video camera.

You are right. Sand is hard to hoop in. Thanks for sharing this beautiful video!
