View commentary by Patsy Robles, a local public
access television producer for 411 Productions and the 411 Show, on the possible loss of public access television in Texas that can have effects for the rest of the USA. State and national bills (COPE Act) will negatively affect local public access and cut funding. This clip was for San Antonio Public Access TV.

  • Call me crazy but I love public access TV! Many of the pubic access content was low budget but really fun and usually orginal.

It's a need forum and suould never be taken away! It gives your community it's flavor or allows it ot be shared with others....unless it's Martin County, FL! MCTV 20 is one of the most boring and conservative public access channels I've ever seen!

  • Are you a public access TV producer? Network with public access TV producers in other areas. Share your experiences and ideas. Exchange content for which you own the copyright. Gain a wider audience for your videos. Go to Yahoo groups and search for "public access TV video exchange"

  • That's exactly what's going on in my community. I want to fight to make them open it up.

  • I was a producer and was cancelled when I raised issues. I came to youtube and the public access coordinator began attacking me with his videos here . he was arrested fri cyberstalking.Put my name in and you will see marilyn sheldon

  • It is happening in our neck of the woods. The people the run public the public stations kept the public from utlizing them and it became a click thing.

The rest of the community was not included.

  • COPE act will never pass. Public access will never go out of business. If your public access provider is non-profit/non-commercial organization, why are they allowing their producers to "tag" their YouTube clips & shows with their respective names eg: MNN QPTV, BCAT, when a producer can just post their own commercial profit links on YouTube without problems & not get reprisals from PATV programming depts. if you make money you deserve. Public access TV orgs are hypocritical capitalists.

  • Australians have a vibrant CTV culture but the successive Australian governments have never supported the communities right broadcast.

In Australia, community television is being hung out to die due to the lack of framework and access to digital spectrum

Community television in Australia is truly a product of the Australian people, but our governments have never supported the third tier of television in Australia.

  • Many situations going on, related to this same issue maybe I am mistaken but you tube just came in time no wonder why they want to monopoly all ways of communication internet, TV phone no privacy or I'm just confused to many Cuban movies
