If anyone's interested, all the videos on my channel (ajbowie77) were shot using this camera and edited on a Mac. There is a distinct quality loss via You Tube uploads, so take this into account. There is a mike-input and it uses tapes. I'm not sure if it has been deleted or not. I recently got a 2nd camera on Ebay for under £100. I think it's an amazing camera. Incidentally, the MD215 and MD216 are identical cameras. Tape is still marginally the best medium, and has some storage advantages

So the quality is very good for this price? I am interested in buying this camera, I've got 2 questions: Does it have an external mic input? And does it record on to tapes or SD cards or what?

hey .... according to me all cameras work fine with moveimaker it is just the file-type that matters and if that isn't right you can change it to a wmv!!
