I've run into a couple problems with my new loop station and this is one of them. I can recreate this issue any time I use the same settings and perform the same sequence, and now I'm finding it happen when I play other things (though I think the settings are still the same). I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem or similar problems and if there is a fix for it? Firmware update? Or is this not a glitch and it's something I am doing wrong? Can anyone out there help me?

  • I have a similar problem. Eventually, after I tap dance all over the pedals to try and get it going, I get a Data Error message. The only way to reset is by powering down. My second issue with this unit is the guitar bass effect warbles with single notes, low on fret board. Spoke with Boss, they said it seems to be a faulty product. Will be returning mine.

  • @AxelMontaner Oh yes Ive got that Data Error message a couple times too. Since this video Ive noticed the glitch occur after doing much less than what's in this video, like just a single loop and then it's frozen. Do you mean you're returning yours to the store? I guess you caught it within their return policy period? If so, you're lucky. I have to take mine in to get 'repaired'. I feel uneasy about that! I'd much rather just get a new one. Haven't noticed the warble, I'll look out for that.

  • Seems faulty to me. Got an RC300 myself, tend to put all 3 loops in free mode but from what I could see don't see how your settings would cause this issue. You can't even change the patch so don't think it can be related to your track settings. Hope you get it sorted as, when working, it's a very good pedal

  • @MrClarkio2 Yeah I really like the pedal otherwise too! Someone messaged me and said they had the same problem so I really have a feeling it's a firmware issue and not just my unit. I'm wondering if it's the Fade Out that causes it, I'm going to test that out. I'll let you know if I hear from Boss!

  • I would call the 800 number..sounds like it is freezing up on ya! maybe someone there can help ya. I just bought the Boss RC300 and I am still trying to hook the cables up through my PA system. Not gonna be that much help for ya! Good Luck!

  • @ShickenChit74 Thanks. I'll let you know if I hear anything from Boss. Hope it doesn't happen to you! :)

  • @DalelCampbell I'll let you know if I hear anything from Boss. It's a great unit otherwise!

  • @outliertube Thanks and thanks for watching. I really have a feeling it's the firmware and not my unit. Someone else messaged me who ran into the same problem. Ah well, here's hoping it doesn't happen to you!

  • Faulty unit! Take it back. Nice playing
