Get POLDERBITS instead. You can get a FREE trial version for 2 weeks that should be long enough to do a few recordings. i was able to DL my recordings from cassette to my computer in just a few hours, leaving more than 13 days left to use the product again before it expires. And they let you get another FREE trial up to 3 times.

We werent told about all the unwanted crap that comes with AUDACITY. i see where this programme gets its name from. ie--They have the AUDACITY to load heaps of unwanted crap onto our computer. Im glad i read the following review from CNET Download-d-o-t-c-o-m, before continuing with a DL. I agree with the reviewer on CNET. This Programme is NOT worth the trouble that comes with it.

You HAVE TO DLseveral other software in order to get AUDACITY. These programs are basically forced on to the user,whether you want it or not. I was really annoyed over the fact that 6- yes, 6 programs were installed along with Audacity, even though I didn't want them.

This download will now over ride Google on me, by installing a Yahoo Toolbar and changes to my home page, and they are a nightmare to uninstall. Id recommend POLDERBITS. That has NO other added programmes. You can get a free 2 week trial version, which should be long enough to do what you need, then you can get another Free trial version. ( UP TO 3 times. ie 6 weeks worth for FREE)
