Me and my taxi
It's a swift and proud vehicle.
This 8 cylinder, Ford Crown Victoria, is the finest in the Allied Cab/Nashville Cab fleet.
Soon, it will be the end of the road for this great car. Since it's a 2003 it's likely to be retired next year, I will likely be retired along with it. I only hope the taxi company doesn't take me to the scrap heap too.

  • Why will they retire a car simply because it gets too old? That seems like kind of a weird reason considering that it is presumably running so well.

  • @MIKON8ERISBACK Well it's a matter of money. The taxi company could pursue a waiver, which is allowed for older cars. It would require a more detailed inspection. But the taxi company won't do it. They know the cost of trying to maintain an older car skyrockets with age. They rather get a newer car - and younger driver.

  • @timoz26 Your not that old. Your younger than most of the parents of my generation, and secondly, I didn't know that Tennessee and the southern states were so under the influence of that emission control BS. The only thing my 2001 Monte Carlo SS needs is some new spark plugs.

  • i call you, when i need one
