Documentation Entropie 06/06. Ruhrgebiet, Juni 2006. Entropie is a dynamic sculpture, formed by 60.000 blue balls. Placed in the middle of german towns and parks in the earliy morning in june 2006. It was a surprise for the people, finding the sculpure at places that are often simply ignored. They were free to do with the dynamic sculpture, what they wanted. There were no animations, no rules, no explanations and no one who could be asked. Just balls, lying in the city. You could play in groups or alone, ignore the sculpture or take the balls with you. Kids started to play, parents, businessmen and policemeen followed. After one and a half hours, some started to carry balls away. Up to then, the deconstruction of the sculpture started. After two and a half hours the sculpture had disappeared. It seemed, as if the sculpture had never been there.
Now the balls are just balls and still part of the sculpture. You see them in gardens, in homes, in kindergardens. (more)
