I've just received a tasco 49te and had trouble viewing the moon. What lensce should I have been using be using ? There's a 12.5mm and a 5.0mm. Should I also have been using the 90 deg shaped adapter I see in the setup.
No matter what I did I could not get a clear focus.
Any help will be appreciated.

It's nice to stand outside and look @ the moon, and see it move. We have a tendency to be so absorbed in our silly lives that we miss the free gifts. Liked this vid.

@ fndr4strngr If I remember correct, the 5.0mm is the best for a broader view. The 12.5 is for closer view, especially with the extension. You will just have to get the view finder centered up to make it easer to get the moon into view. Try to focus as steady as possible. Remember everything is backwards when moving the telescope. Follow the brightness of the moon. Try it on a full moon. GL to you and let me know if you have any more Q's!
