TCS was a national TV broadcaster in the 70s....
I uploaded this, because it was an example of the Pre-Swagger Era in Miami. The Stadium was nearly empty, but suprisngly, Miami put up a close game, losing 6-0 at Half time, but Penn State would pull away 21-7.... Miami surprisingly played a lot of the top ranked teams close that year, and this was one of them..

  • Nice videos.I wonder what game you're gonna put on you tube next

  • @LMCMInterloper plus, Miami almost shut down it football program and Schnelly turned the struggling program around. Uncle Luke of 2 Live Crew witness the bad times in the 70s and he got this ad from Burger King to attend a Miami Hurricane football game.

  • Pretty cool to see the 3 Suhey brothers , Larry, Paul, Matt, play for the Nittany lions. They followed there grandfather Bob Higgins and there father Steve Suhey

    to gridiron glory there.

  • Miami's unis in this game looks an awful lot like Auburn's current unis.

  • @LMCMInterloper Oh, and I forgot one more interesting tidbit for anybody who wants to know; When Coach Schnelly took over in '79, there was talks among the brass of the university of dropping the football program. Obviously, we know how that turned out.....

  • In case anybody is wondering, Carl Selmer was the Hurricanes' HC in this game. the 1970s turned out to the most turbulent decade in the program's history, as Miami went though six head coaches (counting Howard Schnellnberger, who took over in 1979) in this decade and had only two winning seasons.

  • LOL, the announcers speaking over the national anthem!

BTW, who in the FUCK is singing the national anthem there? Sounds like a hockey national anthem singer.

  • Wow, this is awesome! Nice UL, thanks!

  • Typical 1970s intro and music.

Oh, and BTW, First View, First Like, First Comment!
