Remember the story "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer?" When bad weather almost stopped Santa from delivering gifts on Christmas Eve? Well, the same thing almost happened to the Santa' helper you're about to meet. But instead of dealing with bad weather, this jolly old elf faced an even bigger problem. Throat cancer. And just as the light guided the story's Santa through the storm, a laser light helped this Santa weather one -- the storm of cancer. More from Mayo Clinic.

why lie to children? Yes they are naive, stop making fun of it. My parents never made me believe in Santa. If this doesn't convice you, this may do. I herd a kid say "mother, everyone at school tells me Santa doesnt exist!" "of corse he does, do you think your mother would lie to you?"

The laser treatment uses focused light energy in the visible spectrum, that is, the light that we can see. This type of treatment actually burns the tumor away.
"Radiation" therapy refers to focused beams of higher energy electromagnetic waves such as gamma rays or x-rays. This type of treatment penetrates tissue and damages the targeted tumor through ionization.
If by "zapping" you mean electrical stimulus, that's different. In this case, electricity is made to flow through the tissue.

It's not easy to cure cancer.
It's not easy to go through treatment. Radiation is not light or electricity.
