This is a breif video comparing the different light outputs you can expect when using the Sundrop 3S and the Surefire Backup. They each have their advantages and both are really usefull lights. I hope this is helpfull and you enjoy.

  • Wow man, the sun drop is sweet, really like the "playing god" comment, good stuff man.

E1B is a high of 80 lum, with a low of 5 right?

    Sweet little lights man.

  • Thank you sir, that is correct the first time you activate the backup, it projects 80 lumens and then 5 lumens. This lumens surefire announces are relatively on the conservative side and are very usefull thanks to its TIR optics. I really de recommend that tool!

  • Is the Sundrop just a bare LED with no reflector?

  • Yes, that is correct, it does not have a reflector so that it has the smoothest pattern possible (to avoid having a hotspot).

  • Oh btw, what music was playing in the background at the end? It was quite catchy.

  • Thanks for the comments, the music is Gui Boratto - Beautiful Life, I know, they are expensive but once you save some money and buy them, you can truly appreciate the gold that it pours on your nearby objects!

  • I'm dying to see the diffuser that surefire makes compared to the floody sundrop.

  • im kindof a flishlight noob but how does the sundrop compare to the mule since they both dont have reflectors

  • Thanks man... this was a very informative video and a very nice comparison. I had a ton of questions concerning the McClickie paks, and the Sundrop. So McClickie paks don't have heads is that correct. I already own a E1 Backup

  • SunDrop is Far superior... SunDrop has 3 Levels, Higher Max Output with (IMHO) a better flood beam... And of course the High CRI led...

If you can spare the dosh get a sundrop if you happen not to like it, you can always post if on Candlepower Forums Marketplace and you'll get most of your money back =D

  • Excellent review!

    Don (McGizmo) makes killer lights!!

    :-)

  • Great review!

  • Make that $1200. Yes I'm a sick sick man.

  • That Sundrop looks nice.

  • If comparing Sundrop with inova x5, which one do you prefer? Since they are all flood type beam flashlight.
