Demo my club performed for Boxing Club's Fight Night event. We practice mainly Choy Lay Fut, which is a southern kung fu style with a lot of northern influence. Our stances and swing fists may resemble Hung Gar, but we like to stay higher up in order to enjoy increased mobility and speed (in case you were going to critique my admittedly high stances haha). Just some college kids messing around. I'm the guy talking on the mic like a jackass.

  • Even though I absolutely cannot stand modernised schools, barefeet training methods and those wackowacko uniforms, I had to say that this video was one of the best I have seen with Choy Li Fut. Even your forms were good and I like the sympathetic fighting demo. Oy I'm a fan of the KF Club Dartmouth! Yeay, hurray!

May I ask what linieage you are representing? Greetings!

  • we were representing the lee koon hung lineage of choy lay fut. thanks for the positive response, i tried to give an honest demonstration free of any silly flips and whatnot. thanks for watching.

  • Great demonstration especially some of the weapon forms. It's a pity people don't realise that even though they're choreographed, every move has purpose and will cause a lot of damage if they actually connect with someone. But if all they want to see is competition fights, then they can keep their Karate and so called 'ultimate' fighting styles...

  • THANK YOU

  • yeah i always wanted start a kung fu club and my skool, but im laggin it. but hey that was great! uh were u guys doing hungar?

  • check the description, we practice choy lay fut

  • Heh...music from Kung Fu Hustle.

  • good performance.... but needs a lot of practice

  • this guada guys a twat.just enjoy this video.well done xiongdi

  • ok now why is the truth considered spam??

  • in the beginning of your video you claim people this people that. then you got the guile to claim, "But the most awesome people of all...We The Kung Fu Club"

this is all prior to seeing how well you represent your chosen art. once i have seen you move no more needs to be said. iam sure your sihings and others that have trained you would be very dissapointed in all this...

  • on the info section posted Quote "Our stances and swing fists may resemble Hung Gar, but we like to stay higher up in order to enjoy increased mobility and speed" ok why dont you just do what you do without dragging in any other sources in this case Hung Gar. Is there something wrong with what you r personally doing, not the art you r representing here!

  • One of my students ( he trained in choy li fut for about 9 years) is teaching me Choy Li Fut just for fun. It is always enjoyable to learn new styles.

  • Speaking of, when are you coming back down to see us? haha.
