Photos From Our Future

Five Boroughs Foundation of Photography and the Hetrick-Martin Institute, two of the Workshop's non-profit partners, utilize photography as a means to engage, stimulate and help the kids of New York. We wanted to let HMI and FBFP each have a day at the studio to play around--to see how real photographers conduct a shoot, to learn how to use Leica's cameras, and (most importantly) to have a great time. With help from photographer Cass Bird, stylist Heidi Bivens, singer-songwriter Sky Ferreira, La Esquina restaurant, Will Sterns, Oleg Ilitchev and the wonderful young people for whom it was all about, some great photos and friends were made.
