MaximsNewsNetwork: 17 September 2009 - UNTV: The seventh round of the talks between Russia and Georgia continue in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations, the European Union and the OSCE.

The seventh round of talks between Russia and Georgia took place today in Geneva under the auspices of the United Nations, the European Union, and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The talks aimed at restoring stability in the region following the conflict between the two countries in August last year.

All participants met in two parallel working groups to discuss security and stability in the region and humanitarian matters.

Georgia's First Deputy Foreign Minister Giorgi Bokeria told journalists there had been very dangerous developments accompanied by constant and declared threat of further invasion and further use of threat by Russia.

Grigory Karasin, the Russian Federation's Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs said that The Government in Georgia has not renounced the militaristic plans and was continuing to cherish the idea of taking back by force the territorial integrity lost because of the acts of the Georgian Government themselves.
