Dont recall the opening jingle (post Aug 67?) but the theme song still sounds great. Do we know who sung this?

If you werent there, Caroline & London were the crucial elements during the swinging 60s, magical days.

im only 17 but my dad fondly speaks about this.... i wish i was around then... not only does it sound more fun but i hate the music these so called celebs keep banging out. its awfull! i listen to 80's music mostly i can not be botherd about turning the radio on any more its all rubbish!

Thank you for your comment. I suppose I'm biased but I also think the music then was better. My cousin's husband is Tony Christian who is a DJ and spent some time working for Caroline aboard the Ross Revenge in the 80's.

Use to listen to y'all back in the mid 70s when I was station in England. Loved the jingles. There was a language barrier but still enjoyed listening. And they played some good music then.........U.S.A

@MANTLEBERG i would love to have a go at the skull n crossbones broadcasting, but as you say its all crap, although, there are still plenty of really good bands out there and also not forgetting the music we are fortunate enough to enjoy a lot of the tracks before some skanky rip off artists decided to really ruin the music scene and destroy some really good tunes! keep music live and real!!

Remember listening to Caroline (what became North) on myu $5 2nd hand Pye radio with the green "magic eye" and valves that would fry eggs! and listened to what later I found out was Simon Dee on Easter weekend. I was stationed in USAF @ RAF Sculthore, Norfolk. RC was a great change from the booooring Beeb, and R Luxembough with it's channel-fading (by design!) & 15 minutes record progs. I liked Caroline so much, I went to 6 Chesterfield Gardens, and in the 70's named my Daughter after the ship.

@MANTLEBERG @minimartin3 @UpMyOwn The thing that went wrong is that in the recession people start to forget to enjoy the good things in life, Life, People and living. Everybody watches TV through which they see adverts and want things they can't get. When they can't get what they want they become miserable and forget to cherish what they already have. I always think the 60's as an easygoing era and everyone is happy with what they have.
