My good friend, Sherry (tustles), recently lost Kelsey, her pet dog who passed away. This video is a sympathy video for Sherry and anyone else who has recently lost a pet. It is also a tribute to "man's best friend" and a plea to adopt older dogs who make great pets. Adoption agencies will tell you that puppies and kittens are most in demand, followed by adult cats. Adult dogs are the least in demand and it's so sad because they have a lot of love to give. They truly are "man's best friend"!

Just this side of Heaven, is a place called Rainbow Bridge...
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. The bright eyes are intent; the eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to break away from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. YOU have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. Happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
THEN YOU CROSS RAINBOW BRIDGE TOGETHER...

"I Will Always Be With You" is sung by Sheena Easton and Jesse Corti.

  • Loved this video and the song. i lost my beloved dog to cancer and my heart still hasn't mended even though it has been over a year. how do you get over losing your fur baby? i listen to these videos and songs and it really helps. Thank you.

  • I lost my 17 year old cat in May of this year and it broke my heart.

I still picture her in her favorite places and remember how her fur felt (it was so soft)!

She was a very friendly cat and tried very hard to communicate with me when she

needed my attention. She trusted me no matter what I had to do with her or to her (like,

give her a bath, for instance). Not long before she passed away, she sat on the arm

of my chair and stared into my eyes for 10 mins.) - I loved her so much!

  • Very cute pictures and so nice of you to think of Sherry, Maureen but it may be sad for her to watch and hear the song especially if her loss was recent.

  • Sherry made her own video about her recent loss. I wanted to console her. I felt very sad making the video seeing all the lovable dogs..many waiting to be adopted. I felt very bad looking at pictures of dogs in cages..it breaks my heart.

  • who is singing this song , I would love to know.

  • After searching google and Wikipedia, I learned that Sheena Easton and Jesse Corti sang "I Will Always Be With You" even though Charlie Sheen provided the speaking voice of the male dog in the movie "All Dogs Go To Heaven2". I'm so happy you liked the song. I liked it a lot, too! :D

  • This is so sad, because our daughter, Karen recently lost her Gracie, who was a White Sheppard. She used to love when I came for a visit, because I would always give her doggie treats. Good dedication for Sherry & Junior. I know how they feel. Great ❺★★★★★ video
