  • So many questions, so little space on youtube. Wonderful videos!

    Anyway,

You say here God is a person, but in previous videos you have said that God is not 'A' being, but 'is being'. Am I missing something?

    Peace

  • @Operaandchant90 When I say that God is not "a" being, I mean that he is properly infinite and unconditioned. When I say that he's a person, I mean that he's endowed with intellect and will. No contradiction..

  • @wordonfirevideo You contradict yourself all over the shop Father.

  • @grailng You might be so kind as to indicate these supposed contradictions.

  • Father Barron, I am going through doubts about my faith and about God's existence. You are an inspiration to me right now, and I ask that you pray for me. Thank you.

  • @MrLlurati Prayer offered.

  • oh yeah , sorry cause my question does not relate to the topic of the video...

  • hey father , just wanted yr opinion of this matter ... i felt that ive been called to give up my relationship with a girl whom im intimate(not a couple , just close friends but we have engaged in sexual relations with) because due to this relationship , ive been putting God aside and commiting sins of the flesh. so in response to this calling ive sort of given up the intimacy between us and just became friends with her , BUT we still text a lot and see each other often . is that ok ??

  • (continued) Now of course modest claims such as"I'm not an evil person"is passes without evidence because of the unlikelihood but I can't say for sure that I know a person is not evil or is good unless I have experience of this person's behavior and actions that attests to his character. If you meet a person for the first time, isn't it naive and unintelligent to make judgments on his/her character right there and then based on hearsay? After all, even Charles Mansion can SAY hes a loving person.

  • Father, what is it that you or another person of "faith" knows about God? During the whole video, you kept talking about God revealing his persona to people of faith but what is it that he reveals? And I have to disagree with you on having faith in people's characters. Maybe I'm alone here but I judge character through action. Action is pretty much the evidence. Heresay isn't enough. (continued)

  • The supreme absolute truth is a person. And all emanations expand from that person. We are all parts and parcel of God, & are His eternal servitors originally, but have forgotten our constitutional position. Our soul is in direct contact with God, but we are illusioned by the material world(maya/satan/untruth). We taught we are the body & have a soul, which is an incorrect ontology. We ARE a soul, which is now covered by a temporary body. By pure devotion the illusion dispels and we SEE God.

  • This is a great video.

  • I'm very happy in my "antiquated, medieval" mentally about Faith. :) Keep 'em comin' Padre!

  • the fact that I defend God by no means changes his ability to fight then it does for me to defend my kung fu master would diminish his ability to fight. If you know anything about native indian culture and I do I am surounded by this culture. Many of these cultures believed in a God called yahweh or yahowah. But God provides based on the human heart so those here whom lived according to the law written on thier hearts, are entitled to that same salvation.

  • @mahoganyrush300 Christianity did not reach the USA until 1500 years after Christ' death , Surely that reveals either God's inadequacies or indifference to the salvation of the Red Indian. 1500 years to send a crucial message of salvation & you see this as proof of omnipotence! Without the technical know how of man, the Red Indian would never have heard of Christianity. Further, the fact that you feel the need to defend "God" shows he cannot defend himself and demonstrates his weakness.
