Lesson devised for the Blues Mandolin Social Group at the Mandolin Cafe. More discussion of this at the Mandolin Cafe as well as instruction as to how to play it.

This is the intro to No 12 is at the Station on Johnny Young's early 70's Bluesway album I Can't Keep My Feet From Jumpin. It's another classic Johnny Young mandolin tune in the Key of G. This intro is mostly exact except for the last couple measures which are hard for me to decipher due to the loud guitar. However, what's there is close to what he played and is firmly in his style.

This intro or variations of it are heard throughout Young's mandolin playing as well as Rich DelGrosso's. An example would be Get Your Nose Out of My Business which Rich covered and Young recorded in the 60's with Big Walter Horton. Not exactly the same, but a variant keeping in the same spirit.
