For a complete lesson on math rotations, go to http://www.yourteacher.com - 1000+ online math lessons featuring a personal math teacher inside every lesson! In this lesson, students learn that when a figure is turned to a new position, the transformation is called a rotation. Students are then asked to describe a given rotation by estimating the number of degrees and stating the direction that a given figure has been rotated. For example, the figure has been rotated 90 degrees clockwise. Students are also asked to draw rotations of a given figure. For example, rotate the given figure 45 degrees counterclockwise.
