My band was on the same bill one night at the Fillmore with Mumblin' Jim. It was really wierd because our band was called Fumblin' Slim. When we were ready to go on, Bill Graham introduced us as Fumblin' Jim. We said "No, we're Fumblin' Slim". Bill said, "Fumblin' Slim?". We said, "Yeah, we're Fumblin' Slim". He said, "Well, who's Fumblin' Jim?" We said "The other guys". Jack Nicholson said "We're Mumblin' Jim, not Fumblin' Jim". Then another band came in and said "We're Bumblin' In".

Incense and Peppermints is a great song. Too bad they didn't play the whole song. It's funny. Incense and Peppermints is Strawberry Alarm Clock's one and only hit, but the guy who sang it isn't even in the movie. The guy singing the song happened to be in the studio that day. He was brought in to sing that one and only time and he never joined the group.
