the upper one is not the aorta - it's the brachiosephalic. Aorta is larger in diameter and is below the brachiosephalic artery.

Why would any animal heart have 2 aortas, I'm pretty sure, even after checking cat heart diagrams, just like human heart anatomy, that larger valve is the superior vena cava
